Today I’m sharing with you my birthday trio: 3 products I got for my 30th birthday. They are kind of pricey for their category (hence the birthday excuse) but after 2 months of use, I can tell you they’re totally worth it. I will buy them over and over and over again!
Rms Beauty Un Cover-up Concealer
Glides, conceals, hydrates
Never going back to conventional concealers. The Rms Beauty “Un” Cover-Up is a clean beauty staple and I immediately understood why. It glides on the skin, feels amazing and lightweight while doing a great job at covering my dark circles and unwanted pimples. It blends naturally with the color of my skin. I chose shade 22 that Rms’ website describes as follow: ‘with it’s yellow base, this shade is great for light-medium skin tones’.
I was skeptical about the format, as I’m used to pens but I quickly came around. It’s easy to apply with the finger and doesn’t smudge at all!
Another quality: it’s super hydrating. No wonder why when you see the ingredients: coconut oil, castor seed oil, beeswax, cocoa butter and jojoba oil are the first ones listed. I can feel it when I apply it, it doesn’t dry my eyes out. I even skip the eye cream sometimes… It’s a bit pricey for a concealer but totally worth it. And it doubles up as a foundation! So, clearly a no-brainer ;).

True Botanicals Pure Radiance Oil Clear
Moisturizes, balances, induces glow
I used to think that with my combination skin, facial oils would automatically lead to a breakout disaster. But my Pai Skincare Rosehip Oil sample clearly opened my chakra and made me rethink the whole thing. You just have to choose the right one for your skin and it can work magic. True Botanicals does just that. I had read a lot of raving reviews about their oils and decided to go for it. I contacted their customer service because I hesitated between the Renew or Clear Radiance Oil. I wanted some anti-aging power but didn’t want to break out. They were very responsive and recommended that I go for the Clear.
The Clear Radiance Oil is formulated with antioxidants and antibacterial ingredients like helichrysum, hemp, pumpkin and grape seed oils. They heal infection, clear congestion, and revive complexion.
How I use it: I put a few drops in the palm of my hand at the end of my night routine about twice a week, rub my hands to heat it a little and tap around on my face and neck. It smells amazing and feels great without being too greasy. But the real magic happens the next morning… Each time I wake up after applying it, I can’t believe what I’m seeing in the mirror. My skin looks fresh, pumped, nourished and most of all: glowing! I’m not kidding, you can SEE the change! And it doesn’t clog my pores, and seems to be reducing the appearance of breakouts. I’m hooked.

Herbivore Botanicals Coco Rose Body Polish
Exfoliates, renews, nourishes
First: the look. It is a beautiful product with its glass packaging, minimalist label and beautiful blush color. It makes any bathroom look good! Second: the smell. Coconut oil and Moroccan rose scents mix perfectly together, creating a smell that is floral, delicious and not too strong. Finally, the feel… The Coco Rose polish has a soft texture that exfoliates gently.
Here is how I use it: twice a week, I take a handful, massage it on slightly damp skin (do not use on wet skin, it will dissolve too fast), leave it on for 2 minutes to let the coconut oil soak in and rinse off. It leaves my skin silky-soft, so smooth and hydrated! I usually don’t need to put any moisturizer after I use the Coco Rose. Never going back to those harsh grainy scrubs that gave me the impression that I was rubbing raw salt on my poor skin and left it dry and irritated. This is the graal of scrubs!
