After the Follain Bestsellers Kit, here is another perfect kit for Clean Beauty beginners, this time for makeup! The Credo Clean Makeup Kit includes 6 products: 4 full and 2 travel sizes, all in a cute Credo canvas cosmetics bag. Price is beautiful too: $59 for $103 worth of goodness.
There are 2 versions: the Smoke and the Rose, with variations for the eye shadow and the blush color. I went for the Smoke. Here’s my review.
W3ll People Expressionist Mascara (mini)
Disclosure: I just bought the full size…
This mascara is totally clean and doesn’t contain any harsh ingredients that can irritate the sensitive eye area. It’s paraben-free, petrolatum-free, coal tar-free, aluminum-free, gluten-free, cruelty-free and GMO-free.
The rubber applicator works wonders to separate even the thinnest and shortest lashes. It scoops them up, lengthening them, opening up your eyes without clumping! It doesn’t flake or smudge either and is easy to remove.
No wonder it’s an Allure Best of Beauty winner…

Vapour Halo Illuminator (mini)
This cutie contains 70% organic ingredients and has a big list of no-no’s. No talc, no synthetic fragrance, no parabens, no petroleum, no phthalates, no FD&C pigments, no dimethicone, no animal testing, no phenoxyethanol, no fillers, no irradiation, no nanoparticles, no water, no alcohol.
Its creamy and light texture makes for an easy application. It includes Vapour’s proprietary Herbal Enlightenment Complex of organic and wild crafted Frankincense, Tulsi and Lotus, which helps soothe and protect without clogging the pores.
It’s my first highlighter ever. Yep, I was a highlighter virgin. I’m personally not a fan of the strobbing trend and stay away from anything shimmery on my cheeks. But I love how this one shows!
Draw a strike on your cheekbones, brow bones and bow of lips and blend with your finger for a beautiful glow. Not too sparkly or glossy, it just naturally enhances your features!

Ilia Lipstick Lucy’s Party
This one is a keeper. It glides beautifully on the lips, moisturizes and stays for hours! The finish is creamy and semi-matte. The color is a deep, oxblood red, with brown undertones. I looove it: very chic and goes with everything.
It contains 85% organic ingredients, including certified organic castor, sesame, jojoba and sunflower seed oils as well as organic beeswax, cocoa butter and tapioca starch.

Priti NYC Sympathie Rose
Priti polishes are vegan and 5-Free, meaning that they DON’T contain: toluene, dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, and camphor – all known carcinogenic ingredients.
My verdict: fast drying and ultra resistant! With a good base and 2 layers, it lasted without chipping for 5 full days, which is pretty rare for any polish, and especially for non toxic polish. The color Sympathie Rose is a deep wine red, very elegant.
You can find it on Priti’s website.
Juice Beauty Last Look Blush in Flush
I love cream blushes and this one is amazing! Vegan and cruelty-free, the Juice Beauty Last Look blushes are formulated without parabens, petroleum, propylene or butylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfates, pesticides, phthalates, artificial dyes or synthetic fragrances.
It glides easily on the skin and blends beautifully. The Flush shade is a beige-y nude that adds a natural touch of color to your cheeks, making you look healthy and radiant. Another benefit: the vegetable hyaluronic acid provides plumping moisture. The only complaint is that it doesn’t last all day… So I usually throw it in my purse for a little refresher in the afternoon or before going to dinner.
Insider tip: start light with a little bit of blush, and tap with your fingertips on your cheekbones to blend. Add to build to your desired color.

Alima Pure Eyeshadow in Volt
This is the one I’m using the least… Let’s say it’s not an everyday color. It’s a particular shade that calls for a night out on the town! Volt is a carbon black with a bit of shimmer to it. I apply it with my fingers or use a fine brush to turn it into eyeliner. The color can be built to your desire: a little bit makes a discrete dark grey, while several layers make for a more dramatic look. It contains good ingredients that add care to color: avocado oil moisturizes and increases skin elasticity, jojoba oil stimulates collagen production, and rice powder is absorbent, soothing, and full of vitamins.
I ike the initial look but find that it is not that long lasting.

As you can see, I obviously loved most of the Credo makeup kit’s products and definitely recommend going for it if you’re making the transition to a clean makeup routine.
