Hi I’m Laura,

I’m originally from France and lived in San Francisco, CA from 2014 to 2023.

Why Clean Beauty Slate?

It all started in 2017.

I was working in San Francisco as a marketing and business development manager for a beauty salon and day spa and, as such, was approached by a whole lot of beauty brands coming in to present their products. I became more and more aware, curious and vigilant about the ingredients in these products that we apply everyday on our face and body.

I started reading articles and research papers about the toxicity of some chemicals included in these products and their impact on our health and on the planet.

On the brighter side, I also started discovering amazing brands, activists and platforms that are changing the cosmetics world for the best, one product at a time.

As I decided to transition to clean, non-toxic beauty, I figured that sharing my journey, my readings, my products switch may help others so I started this blog. And because I wanted to be part of the movement, I changed my career path and became a Marketing Manager then Director at Credo Beauty, the largest clean beauty retailer in the US.

After 5 amazing years, my family and I now moved back to France and I help clean beauty brands grow and shine.
